How much is my claim worth?

The amount of compensation which you receive will depend on how long you have had the PPI policy and how much you have paid out in PPI premiums. If your claim is successful, you will receive a full refund of all PPI premiums that you have paid, plus 8% interest.

How can I make a claim?

If you are interested in making a claim, simply fill out the enquiry form here on the website or telephone our office. We will arrange for a claims pack to be sent out to you which includes a copy of our terms and conditions, some more information on our service and a claim form. If you want to go ahead, just complete our claim form and return it to us – we will do the rest.

How many claims can I make?

You can make a claim for every PPI policy that you have. If you would like to make more than one claim, please photocopy the claim form which is included in our claims pack and complete one form for each PPI policy you would like to claim against.

What if I have been given a payout under my PPI policy?

If we are able to successfully argue that the PPI was mis-sold to you then your PPI policy will be invalid. This means that you will have to repay any payouts which you have received under the policy. Unless the payout which you have received is much less than the expected refund, you should not make a claim as you may end up owing the PPI company more money.

If I have already tried to claim, can I try again?

If you have already made a claim with another company and taken it all the way to the Financial Ombudsman Service, which has rejected your complaint, then you will not be able to claim again and we will not be able to help you any further.

I can’t find my loan documents – can I still claim?

If you have you loan documents and policy documents then this will help us to deal with your claim more quickly and more efficiently. However, if you no longer have this documentation then you can still make a claim – we will contact your loan company to obtain all of the information which we need on your PPI policy.

What if I’ve looked at my loan paperwork but there is no mention of any Payment Protection Insurance?

Sometimes PPI is referred to by a different name, such as loan insurance, credit card insurance, unemployment and redundancy insurance, or credit repayment cover. If your paperwork shows any charges in addition to the main loan amount or makes any reference to anything that sounds like it might be insurance, you may have PPI.

How do you manage my claim?

Once we receive your completed claim form we will write to you to confirm that your case has been opened. We will also write to the PPI company, informing them that you are claiming that the PPI was mis-sold to you and requesting that they provide us with additional information which is relevant to your claim.

We will first attempt to negotiate a refund with the PPI company on your behalf, but if the company refuses to co-operate or will not agree to a full refund, we will prepare a case for submission to the Financial Ombudsman Service, which has the power to order a refund to be paid.

What will I have to pay you?

We charge a flat fee of 25% plus VAT, irrespective of the amount recovered. This is charged on the total benefit which you receive as a result of our involvement in the case. As well as a cash refund, this might include the reduction or cancellation of debts which you owe to the loan company.

How are your fees paid?

When we have won your claim we will invoice you for our fees. If the loan company send your refund in the form of a cheque made payable to us then we will cash this and deduct our fees before referring the remainder to you. If the loan company sends you a refund cheque, pays your refund into your account or cancels part of the debt which you owe, you will need to arrange to pay our fee separately.

Who regulates you?

We are regulated by the Claims Management Monitoring and Compliance Unit of the Ministry of Justice. The Unit reviews our terms and conditions of service to ensure that they are in accordance with consumer protection legislation and we are periodically audited by the Ministry of Justice.

Our Ministry of Justice authorisation number is CRM4757 and you can check our authorisation by logging on to www.claimsregulation.gov.uk.

If I owe money to the PPI company, will I still get a cash refund?

If you owe money to the company which sold you your PPI policy, then that company is legally entitled to offset any money which it owes to you against your debt. This means that if you have not kept up to date with payments on your loan or you have an outstanding balance on your credit card, the bank may use your refund to reduce this debt.
If you have a loan with the PPI company but you have kept up to date with your repayments then you should receive a cash refund.

Can I make a claim if I am bankrupt or in debt management?

We can take your claim if you are in a debt management plan, although you will need to be aware that the refund will probably be used to pay off your debts and you will still need to make your own arrangements to pay us.

However, if you have been declared bankrupt or you are in an IVA, we will not be able to take your case on.
